Professor WU Shentao believes that cold-poison is an important pathological factor of painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy(PDPN). The basic pathogenesis is that cold accumulating into toxin, stagnation of Qi and blood, and decline of original Yang. Although there is deficiency, but evil pathogen is urgent, only using toxins to attack poison can shake the root. In clinical treatment, the method of invigorating Yang to dissipate cold and promoting blood circulation to activate collateral has repeatedly achieved remarkable results.
