Summary of case history ,The patient was at child-bearing period, G1P0A1. Because of oligomenorrhea for 4 years and cessation of menstruation for 48 days, she came to the clinics. She has been diagnosed with PCOS for many years. Symptoms including: fat body, acne on face, easy to be agitated, constipation, pink tongue with slightly yellow flur, thready and slippery pulse.,TCM diagnosis ,delayed menstruation syndrome of stagnation of liver qi and spleen deficiency, syndrome of intermin-gled phlegm and blood stasis,Western medicine diagnosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS),Therapeutic methods ,Therapies of smoothing liver and strengthening spleen, regulating qi-flowing for eliminating phlegm, promoting blood circulation for regulating menstruation were used based on Cangfu daotan wan. Acupuncture and moxibustion were combined to improve ovulation and endometrium growth. Life style was also advised to regulate to improve insulin resistant and lipid metabolism disorder.,Clinical outcomes ,After treatment with TCM, the menstruation was recovered, ovulation and endometrium thickness were improved. The patient was successfully pregnant and treated actively to prevent miscarriage. Finally, she delivered a healthy child.
