摘要:The holism of body and spirit is a significant ideology of traditional Chinese medicine. The body means the substance that constitutes the human body, and the spirit refers to a series of physiological activities including mind, consciousness, thought, emotion, etc. The holism of body and spirit emphasizes the unity of body and spirit. They complement each other in physiological status, and influence each other in disease state. Qi plays as a medium in the unity of body and spirit, coordinating the relationship by means of Qi movement and Qi transformation. Body, spirit and Qi should all be taken into account when treating dis-ease. Professor GUO Weiqin believes that heart Qi deficiency is the root cause of arrhythmia, blood stasis blocking heart channel is the basic pathological changes, and failure of keeping spirit due to Ying-Yin deficiency is the pathogenesis. In view of the etiology and pathogenesis of arrhythmia, from the comprehensive treatment of body, spirit and Qi, professor GUO Weiqin put forward the basic treatment principles of boosting Qi, invigorating blood and calming spirit, and formulated the basic herbal medication, using the holism of body and spirit. And in the treatment of arrhythmia, professor GUO Weiqin has achieved good curative effect by flexibly adjusting medication in the treatment process.

摘要:Cancerous ulcers are commonly severe skin manifestations in patients with advanced tumors. It has tumor cell infiltrations, complicated infections due to ulcer surfaces, often accompanied by ulceration, exudation, oozing and malodor. Professor Wang Pei believes that cancerous ulcers are caused by the cancer poison speficic to the tumor, and the external treatment should focus on eliminating the toxin of the exterior. After cancer toxin is eliminated, flesh-generating and ulcer-constraining medicinal can be immediately applied to promote wound recovery. In terms of treatment, priority is given to the removal of toxins and sores and in terms of ingredients, medicinals with anticancer effects were used. When the ulcer surface is cleared, treatment is focused on tonifying qi and blood, and generating fleshes. Medicinals that can tonify the spleen and kidneys, tonify qi and blood are prescribed. Combined with the clinical cases, Prof.Wang’s experience in treating cancerous ulcers is presented in this article.
摘要:Chronic cholecystitis belongs to gallbladder distention in traditional Chinese medicine, which has a long course of disease. Western medicine treatment of this disease often takes symptomatic treatment, and long-term use of Western medicine has a certain risk of side effects. After years of experience and clinical practice, traditional Chinese medicine treatment of this disease is feasible, with few side effects. Professor XIE Jingri has been working in clinic for 40 years. After continuous summary, he has put forward the idea of "liver and spleen theory", and has made a lot of researches on digestive diseases. Professor XIE thinks that "the liver is the general in the middle, influenced by the gallbladder". The liver and the gallbladder interact each other, and they are closely related in physiology and pathology. "Spleen and stomach injury can cause all kinds of diseases". Spleen and stomach is the source of the body's healthy Qi. Protecting spleen and stomach can achieve the purpose of "consolidating healthy Qi and expelling evils". Therefore, the treatment of "gall distension" should take the relationship among Zang-Fu organs. The purpose of this paper is to expound Professor XIE Jingri's clinical experience on treating chronic cholecystitis from liver and spleen and stomach.

摘要:Non-lactation mastitis is a group of chronic non-bacterial inflammatory diseases occurring in the breast, with breast lumps, abscess, sinus tract and fistula as its main manifestations. It relapses and is difficult to heal. According to the three different stages of the disease, namely the initial stage, the purulent stage and the ulceration stage, the internal treatment method of TCM surgery establishes three treatment principles of elimination, supporting and tonification, among which the supporting method is the most representative characteristic therapy. Half-yin and half-yang syndrome is the most common type. In terms of treatment, clearing and elimination are mainly used for yang syndrome and warming method is mainly used for yin syndrome, and supporting method is more appropriate for half-yin and half-yang syndrome. The specific application of the supporting method in non-lactation mastitis is discussed in this article from the perspective of clearing-supporting method to outthrust the pathogens, supporting the interior to bring out the pus and to generate fleshes, in combination with other methods. According to the theory of the supporting method for non-lactation mastitis and based on disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation, the "No.2 formula" , used for the purulent stage and the ulceration stage, is introduced in terms of its specific drug use in combination with clinical cases.

摘要:Insomnia and anxiety are both common clinical diseases, and they respectively belong to the category of "insomnia" and "depression syndrome" in traditional Chinese medicine. However, the effect of modern medical treatment is not ideal, there are many adverse reactions, and the tendency of insomnia and anxiety is a vicious circle. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine has made great progress on the treatment of anxiety-induced insomnia. It is safe and effective, making up for the shortcomings of western medicine. Professor YU Rui believes that the main cause of insomnia combined with anxiety is emotional disturbance. Therefore, the liver should be used for treatment, often accompanied by the methods of "strengthening the body to eliminate evil, promoting the liver and resolving depression, reconciling Yin and Yang, and calming Yang to calm the nerves". Chaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction (柴胡加龙骨牡蛎汤) can be used and patients should be advised to pay attention to life adjustment and mental guidance, breaking the vicious circle of insomnia and anxiety. The effect is very good, benefiting many patients.

摘要:TheexperienceofProfessorWANGZhaohuiontreatingperipheralfacialparalysiswith acupuncture, Cans scrapping was summarized. Firstly, Professor WANG uses the penetrating needling method [from Dicang (ST4) penetrating Jiache (ST6)] for peripheral facial paralysis, and applies "retaining and moving needle" method based on penetrating needling method, that is, a small amount of trembling after rubbing to improve the elasticity of facial muscles and restore muscle tension. Secondly, according to the theory of "stagnated fire should be dispelled", Professor WANG gives Cans scrapping treatment at the anterior part of the neck and the affected face of patients with stagnated fire to dispel stagnated fire, to promote qi and blood circulation, and improve symptoms. Thirdly, for patients with insufficient healthy qi, weak constitution or chronic illness, Professor WANG follows the treatment principle of regulating the spleen and stomach and replenishing the healthy qi, and selects acupuncture at acupoints on the abdomen to boost healthy qi.

摘要:Experience of Professor GAO Shuzhong in treating facial neuritis, trigeminal neuralgia and facial spasm with combination of acupuncture and medicinals were introduced. Professor GAO holds that although these three diseases are all located on the face, there are many differences in clinical treatment. Facial neuritis is located in sinew channels and can be divided into two types: extracranial and intracranial. The extracranial facial neuritis is mainly exogenous and caused by wind pathogens. Intracranial facial neuritis is often due to mixed external and internal injuries. The principles are dispelling wind and dredging collaterals, regulating visceral functions, and dredging sinew channels, and acupuncture and medicinals should be applied together. Trigeminal neuralgia is located in the trigeminal nerve deeply. It is usually caused by wind pathogens and excess fire. The treatment is based on the principle of dispelling wind and purging fire, unblocking channels and collaterals and relieving pain, and acupuncture should be combined with medicinals and bloodletting therapy. Facial spasm is located in the muscle. It is usually caused by wind pathogens, including external wind invasion, or deficiency wind stirring internally. The treatment is based on the principle of relaxing sinews and unblocking collaterals, extinguishing wind and stopping convulsions. Suspended needle therapy combined with internal administration of Chinese medicinals and foot three-toe needling and bloodletting should be applied.

摘要:Professor Zhao Jifu maintains that the key causes of severe cholestatic liver disease in infants are dampness, heat, and toxin and its basic pathogenesis is depressed gallbladder due to dampness and heat in combination with toxin. In clinical practice, the disease should be treated by promoting bile flow, clearing heat, and removing dampness-toxicity, with the addition of snakegourd root. A remarkable curative effect can be obtained. For children who are too little to take medicine, it is suggested that mother take the medicine instead and the infant uptake the medicine indirectly, namely supplementing mother to save the infant, with a satisfactory clinical effect being achieved as well.

摘要:Summarize the experience of syndrome identification and treatment of diabetic cardiac autonomic neuropathy by Dong Qimei, the instructor of the inheritance of academic experience of national distinguished Chinese medicine experts. It is believed that the core pathogenesis of the disease is internal blazing of heart fire, stomach preponderance and spleen weakness, disharmony between nutritive qi and defensive qi, and the disturbance of the heart spirit. Thus, it is proposed that the treatment method is based on regulating, together with unifying formula with medicinal flavor and regulating astringency with sour and bitter flavors. Under the guidance of this academic philosophy, we have used Lianmei decoction and Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction to treat the disease with good clinical efficacy.

摘要:Endometrial polyp is a common and frequently occurring disease. Based on the theory of "yang transforms into qi, while yin constitutes form" in The Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic. Professor Xia Guicheng, a master of traditional Chinese medicine, believes that endometrial polyp is a disease of asthenia in origin and asthenia in superficiality, and its disease mechanism is heart-kidney yang deficiency, abnormal qi transformation, and static blood obstructing the uterus. Thus, the treatment is based on the method of warming yang and transforming qi, combined with the method of nourishing kidney to regulate menstruation. In addition, the formula of warming yang and transforming qi is created. All these treatment methods are applied in the pre-menstruum of yang exuberance using methods of warming kidney to assist yang along with transforming qi and breaking concretions. Having the "six yang" in place, the aim is to turn extreme yang into yin, restore uterine function, promote the elimination of endometrial stagnation and fluid during menstruation, as well as reduce the recurrence of endometrial polyps.

摘要:Based on the theories of visceral manifestation of Chinese medicine, such as "lung qi connecting to the larynx" and "earth generating metal or spleen (mother-organ) generating lung (child-organ)". Professor Liu Shenlin, a national distinguished Chinese medicine doctor, concludes that the etiology and mechanism of pharyngeal fistula complications after laryngocarcinoma surgery is the loss of local organs, damage to lung qi, and broken metal failing to sound. The evolution of the disease process is characterized by disorder of the child-organ affecting the mother-organ, the disease of the lung affecting the spleen, and weakened body resistance with inability to drive pathogenic qi out, which leads to the retention of cancer toxins inside. We advocate that the treatment should be based on a holistic concept, pay attention to the interrelationship between the internal organs, reinforce the mother of deficient organs, and follow the principle of treating the root and branch simultaneously. In addition, the therapeutic principle and methods include clearing the lung and resolving toxins, dispelling pathogenic qi and reducing the swelling, cultivating the earth and generating gold, nourishing the spleen and stomach, adding and subtracting medicines with the change of syndromes, as well as treating both inside and outside, in order to promote the transformation of qi and blood, repair the muscle tissue, dissipate local inflammation, and accelerate the healing of pharyngeal fistula.
摘要:Stony goiter, known as thyroid malignant tumor in western medicine, is currently one of the most common types of head and neck malignant tumor in clinical practice, and various complications often occur after surgery. Professor Xu Zhiyin believes that the patients with stony goiter are often manifested as the syndrome of qi and yin deficiency after surgery. Therefore, he treats the disease mainly by benefiting qi and nourishing yin. At the same time, he pays attention to regulating the lungs, spleen and kidney, maintaining the normal function of the viscera. After operation, he uses scorpion to remove the remaining pathogenic factors for a short time, and uses American ginseng to replenish qi and strengthen the body for a long time, and to fight the side effects of levothyroxine sodium tablets at the same time.
摘要:Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) belongs to the category of "prostatic hypertrophy" in TCM, which mainly caused by the stasis of pathological products such as Phlegm turbidity and Blood stasis in Shuidao due to deficiency of kidney Qi and lack of lung Qi dispersing. In clinical treatment, reviewing the deficiency and excess of the syndrome, distinguishing the priority of manifestation and root cause, utilization the reinforcement and elimination methods, paying attention to the foundation of the kidney as well as emphasizing the method of promoting Blood circulation for removing Blood stasis should be done. Insufficiency of splenogastric Qi, deficiency of kidney Yang, and deficiency of kidney Yin are mostly deficiency syndromes, which on account of spleen and kidneys. In treatment of Kidney Yang deficiency, method of warming Yang to dissipate Qi and diuresis and Jinkuishenqi Pills modified prescription are usually used; for Kidney Yin deficiency, nourishing Yin to diuresis should be done and modified Liuwei Dihuang Pills are often used; for splenogastric Insufficiency, benefiting Qi to diuresis method should be done and modified Buzhong Yiqi Decoction is often used. The exuberance of Lung Heat, Qi-stagnancy and blood stasis, and Damp invasion of lower energizer is mostly excess syndrome, which on account of the Lung, liver, and Bladder. For exuberance of lung heat treatment, methods of clearing lungs and purging heat, to regulate Shui Dao, and Pipa Kaifei Decoction, Huangqin Qingfei Decoction, and modified Maxingshigan Decoction are often used. For Qi-stagnancy and blood stasis, methods of promoting Qi to activate blood and diuresis and Chenxiang Powder combined with Guizhi Fuling Pills are usually used; for the Damp invasion of lower energizer, Heat and dispersing and diuresis method, like Bazheng Powder are often used.
