This paper introduced LIANG Xiaochun's experience in treating renal insufficiency in diabetic nephropathy. It is believed that the main pathogenesis of the disease can be summarized as deficiency, stasis, and turbid. The deficiency mainly refers to deficiency of the spleen and kidney, which is the root cause of the disease. Spleen and kidney qi deficiency domains the initial stage of the disease, and it gradually evolves into spleen and kidney yang deficiency. Blood stasis blocking kidney collaterals and internal accumulation of turbid toxin are the triggering factors, and run through the course of the disease. The clinical treatment choose self-made prescriptions of tonifying the spleen and kidney, promoting blood circulation and dispersing turbid. The prescription is closely focused on the pathogenesis of renal insufficiency in diabetic nephropathy, both tonifying and dispersing, with smoothing in tonifying but not stagnation.
