This paper introduced XUE Boshou's experience in clinical application of, Liuwei Dihuang Pills,(六味地黄丸).It is believed that for patients lack of typical symptoms, "insufficient spirit"is the key to the application of, Liuwei Dihuang Pills, based on syndrome differentiation.Radix Rehmanniae Preparata is greasy, and the original prescription is used with Fructus Amomi Villosi;for patients with liver and kidney yin deficiency, with heat or yin deficiency, blood stagnation and blood stasis, Radix Rehmanniae Preparata is replaced by Radix Rehmanniae Recens;for patients with liver and kidney yin deficiency without obvious heat or mental work or white hair and fur, Radix Rehmanniae Preparata is replaced by Rhizoma Polygonati;for brain deficient, Radix Rehmanniae Preparata is changed to, Jiuzhuan Huangjing Pills,(九转黄精丹);for patients with long-term liver and kidney yin deficiency or the elderly and weak, modified, Maiwei Dihuang Pills,(麦味地黄丸)should be used;for patients with eye diseases, modified, Jiuzi Dihuang Pills,(九子地黄丸)should be used.Meanwhile, it is pointed out that clinical syndromes are complicated and often require multiple prescriptions to skillfully expand the use of, Liuwei Dihuang Pills,.
