To examine application scope, application rules and compatibility of Fuzi based on ZHANG Zhongjing's ,Treatise on Febrile Diseases, and ,A Brief Introduction to the Golden Chamber, BAI Changchuan summarized the efficacy of Zhongjing Fuzi into twelve categories, that is, restoring Yang and saving adversity, warming Yang and suppressing water (promoting Yang and diluting water, dispersing water in the skin, dispersing water and promoting water), warming kidney Yang, warming Weiyang, warming the outer and inner meridians, warming Yang and dispelling wind, warming middle-jiao and dispelling cold, dispelling cold and relieving pain, warming the spleen and controling blood, warming chest Yang and dispersing masses, Fuzi are used for subsistence when restoring Yang and saving adversity, and the remaining eleven are used for artillery.
