Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) is a clonal hematopoietic stem cell disease. Professor XU believes that there are three pathogenesis elements of MPN, including deficiency, toxin and stasis. The treatment should follow the principles of heat-clearing and detoxifying, invigorating Qi and nourishing Yin, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. In addition to Chinese medicine compound, cream formulae and realgar three powder also can be used in treatment of MPN. These therapies have good clinical efficacy, patients' clinical symptoms and quality of life can be effectively improved and their survival period prolong.
