A 13-year-old boy presented with recurrent ptosis of the eyelid for more than 7 years, aggravated for more than 1 month. The child had a history of oculomotor myasthenia gravis for more than 7 years, with recurrent episodes of symptoms, poor results of hormonal therapy, and significant side effects. The symptoms were recurrent, and hormone therapy was ineffective, with obvious side effects. Physical examination: the face is not florid, the upper lids of both eyes are droopy, the left side covers the pupil by more than 1/2, the right side covers the pupil by 1/3, and the eye movements are not restricted. The tongue is light and dark, with a white, greasy coating and a sunken, thin pulse. TCM diagnosis: impotence evidence (spleen deficiency and qi trapping, qi and blood stagnation). Western medicine diagnosis: oculomotor type myasthenia gravis. The TCM treatment is to benefit Qi, elevate Yang, lift trapped Qi, move Qi, activate blood circulation and resolve stasis, with the formula of Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang plus reduction orally. Treatment regression The symptoms improved significantly at follow-up.
