Summary of case history,　Patient ZHAO xx, female, 34 years old. On August 7, 2019, she visited the Clinic on 17 August 2019 for "vaginal bleeding with uterine effusion for 20 days after embryo transfer". The patient had an embryo transfer on 18 July 2019 and started to bleed vaginally for more than 1 week after the operation without symptoms such as back pain and abdominal pain. On 15 August 2019, she visited the Reproductive Medicine Centre of the First People's Hospital of Kunming. The diagnostic ultrasound report showed that an irregular hypoechoic cystic area of 56×17 mm was detected between the gestational sac and the posterior wall of the fundus, and the fetus and bilateral adnexa were normal. The doctors gave two options: to stop the bleeding, to take medication (the details of which are not known) and to continue to observe and wait for its natural absorption. Afraid of the adverse effects of medication on the fetus, the patient gave up medication and tried to seek acupuncture treatment, thus visiting the Kunming Sheng Ai Chinese Medicine Centre on Wujing Road.
