摘要:Professor WANG Shouchuan holds that the main pathogenesis of infantile malnutrition syndrome is the functional impairment of spleen and stomach which leads to dysfunction of transportation and transformation, loss of qi, blood and body fluid, and insufficiency of the source of generation and transformation as well. According to the severity and different stages of the condition, it is divided into 3 types including mild infantile malnutrition, mild infantile malnutrition with accumulation and dryness infantile malnutrition. Mild infantile malnutrition focuses on dysfunction of spleen, and thus Zisheng Wan(资生丸)is given to invigorate spleen and assist transportation. Mild infantile malnutrition with accumulation is generated and transformed by prolonged mild infantile malnutrition causing dysfunction of spleen resulting in retention of food and unsmooth circulation of qi and blood, which pertains to deficiency in the origin and excess in the manifestation, and thus Fei’er Wan(肥儿丸)combined with Xiaogan Lipi Tang(消疳理脾汤)is given to resolve food retention, regulating spleen, harmonizing stomach and spleen to clear away heat, by simultaneous use of dispersing and nourishing method. Dryness infantile malnutrition is generated and transformed by prolonged mild infantile malnutrition with accumulation causing spleen failure to transport cereal nutrient, loss of nourishment in viscera and dryout in qi and blood, and thus Bazhen Tang(八珍汤)is used selectively to invigorate qi, blood and induce appetite. Taking protecting the spleen and stomach as the basis for treating infantile malnutrition syndrome, professor WANG performs treatment based on syndrome differentiation in manifestation and origin as well as deficiency and excess according to the condition, whereby achieving marked clinical efficacy. Two proven cases are attached for verification.

摘要:The liver is the unyielding viscus, which governs the free flow of qi and stores the blood. It is yin in form but yang in function, and prefers free activity. Professor Tian Delu has developed his academic theory on relieving digestive diseases by treating liver problems, which can be categorized into the following aspects: 1. It is suggested to soothe the liver and rectify qi when the free movement of qi is restricted due to liver constraint, to unblock the liver collaterals for diseases caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis, and to emolliate the liver in the case of disharmony between its form and function. 2. The liver and spleen should be regulated simultaneously for wood-earth diseases, the principles for which include banking up the earth to relax the liver, banking up the earth to discharge the wood, banking up the earth to dissipate the liver; discharging the liver to harmonize the stomach, and discharging and directing downward liver qi. 3. If hyperactivity of the liver hurts the lung, causing coughing, wheezing and panting, like metal is sounded by the blows of wood, measures should be taken to inhibit liver qi.

摘要:With the increasing incidence of breast cancer and endocrine therapy for breast cancer patients, endocrine therapy has been improving the clinical treatment status of hormone receptor positive breast cancer patients. These drugs can effectively control the progress of tumor, but also cause a series of endocrine syndrome, which seriously affects the physiological, psychological and social communication ability of breast cancer patients, and has a serious negative impact on the quality of life of patients. As a result, many breast cancer patients have to give up endocrine therapy, which greatly reduces the compliance of endocrine therapy in breast cancer patients, leading to the recurrence and metastasis of the disease. But at present, western medicine has no good treatment for endocrine syndrome of breast cancer, most of which are symptomatic support treatment, and no substantial progress has been made. Therefore, traditional Chinese medicine can give full play to its therapeutic advantages, alleviate endocrine syndrome of breast cancer, improve the dependence of survival treatment and continuous endocrine treatment. Professor GAO Ping believes that the main pathogenesis of breast cancer endocrine syndrome is spleen and kidney deficiency, and blood stasis and toxin accumulation. In the treatment of breast cancer endocrine syndrome, Professor GAO adheres to the principle of combining syndrome differentiation with disease differentiation, focusing on tonifying kidney and spleen, supplemented by activating blood circulation and detoxification, and according to the patient's symptoms, the clinical effect is better. And so it is summarized.

摘要:Esophageal hiatal hernia (EHH) is a disease that abdominal organs and tissues penetrate into thoracic cavity tem-porarily or continuously through hiatus esophageus of diaphragm. EHH lacks specific clinical manifestations and mostly belongs to the category of "acid regurgitation", "stuffiness of stomach" and "dysphagia" in traditional Chinese medicine. At present, the treatment methods in modern medicine are not only limited and few effective, but also easy to relapse, which affects the quality of life of patients for a long time. Professor ZHU Zhaogang has been engaged in clinical practice of TCM for more than fifty years and has extensive experience and unique opinions in treating spleen and stomach diseases. He believes that EHH belongs to TCM syn-drome of deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality. Spleen deficiency which makes muscle weakness is defined as basic pathogenesis while abnormal rising of stomach Qi is the superficial cause and not liver freely distributing is often a factor in the progression of the disease. Professor ZHU emphasizes the treatment should focus on the essence of the disease, which means trea-ting EHH by reinforcing deficiency, and puts forward the treatment method of strengthening spleen, supplementing Qi and strength-ening the body, with the treatment of harmonizing the stomach and descending the adverse. The Modified Buzhong Yiqi Decoction (加味补中益气汤) is the basic prescription which often be modified according to clinical symptoms and combined with diet and daily care to achieve satisfactory curative effect. This article summarized professor ZHU Zhaogang′s experience on treating EHH by reinforcing deficiency in order to provide new ideas for the clinical treatment of this disease.

摘要:Sick sinus syndrome is a disease caused by lesions of the sinus nodes and its surrounding tissues. Professor Guo Weiqin has unique insights into the diagnosis and treatment of sick sinus syndrome. She takes the deficiency in the root and excess at the tip as its basic pathogenesis. Root here is deficiency of yang in the heart, spleen and kidney characterized by slow pulse while the tip here is blood stasis and phlegm blocking the heart, characterized by the alternations between bound pulse and skipping pulse. Therapeutic principles mainly include the following points: reinforcing healthy qi to promote blood circulation, and strengthen the heart; warming yang and unblocking vessels, with equal attention to zang-fu organs and meridians; attaching importance to disease differentiation, promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis and dispelling wind; balancing chinese herbal medicine property by nourishing yin at the same time. She created Fudou Mixture to treat sick sinus syndrome and modified the formula according to different symptoms, with remarkable effects.

摘要:TCM believes that the root of epilepsy lies in the brain, which is induced by pathological products such as wind, phlegm, fright, blood stasis, etc. resulting in the obstruction of the collaterals and thus the disease. Based on the theories of "when the qi of the gallbladder rises, all the qi of the other eleven zang-fu organs will follow" and "children are born with an immature yang constitution" , Professor Xu Rongqian has developed a unique system of treating epilepsy in children from the perspective of the gallbladder, in which he attaches special attention to the interaction between the gallbladder and the brain, and between the gallbladder and wind, phlegm, fright, and blood stasis. The method of soothing the gallbladder and promoting qi movement should be used throughout the treatment both during and after seizures.

摘要:A Wagner Grade 0 diabetic foot is the early stage of the condition, which suggests that the patient develops diabetic peripheral neuropathy and/or peripheral vascular disease without foot ulcers. TCM theories believe that "disharmony of qi and blood" is the root of Wagner Grade 0 diabetic feet. Its etiology and pathomechanism include: qi and blood depletion, yin impairment affecting yang, deficiency as the root; qi stagnation and blood stasis, blockage of meridians, excess as the branch; weakness of wei qi, disharmony of ying-blood, and subsequent susceptibility to exogenous pathogens; external invasion, worsening deficiency of qi and blood, which aggravates the disease. The key to the treatment is to treat the root by regulating qi and blood, balancing yin and yang, boosting qi and supplementing blood, to treat the branch by moving qi and invigorating blood, dissolving stasis and dredge collaterals, and, for those significantly weakened by the disease and thus unable to withstand the power of the medications, to reinforce healthy qi before dispelling evil.

摘要:The study summarizes the experience of Dong Qimei, the instructor of the inheritance of academic experience of famous traditional Chinese medicine experts, in using Yueju Pill to treat palpitations, thoracic obstruction and hypertension from "constraint syndrome" based on the same treatment for different diseases in heart system. Dong Qimei believes that the pathogenesis of heart diseases "begins with qi constraint develops in phlegm-stasis, and changes to liver wind and liver fire", and also pays attention to the role of damp-turbidity in heart diseases. Thus, she proposes "treating heart diseases according to qi-constraint and damp-stagnation by narrowing down the range of heart diseases from the meaning of the formula of Yueju Pill". In addition, she considers that the key to treating heart diseases with Yueju Pill in clinical practice is to focus on qi-constraint in other complicated pathogenesis caused by constraint syndromes, to identify the differences in symptoms of palpitation, irritation, stuffiness pain and dizziness, and to differentiate clinical signs based on the greasy tongue coating with deep pulse. She also introduced the clinical experience of applying Yueju Pill through typical cases to expand the clinical application of that classic formula.

摘要:Acupuncture and moxibustion are common methods in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to treat disease and regulate qi. The ultimate aim is regulating qi, in which "qi arrival" is the key for curative effect. Professor YANG Jiguo summed up the "three steps regulating qi method" in clinic, that is, three steps of acupuncture and moxibustion obtaining qi, mind controlling qi and acupoint pressing directing qi. Acupuncture and moxibustion obtaining qi depends on acupuncture manipulation and moxibustion dosage to cause "qi arrival", with the key of "obtaining qi", and the "acupuncture sensation" and "moxibustion sensation" should be paid attention to. Mind controlling qi depends on treating mind and regulating mind to guide qi arriving at the disease location, and should be applied when the acupuncture and moxibustion obtaining qi fails. Acupoint pressing directing qi is using pressing, kneading, and percussing on acupoints to regulate qi, and should be applied when the first two steps fails to cause "qi arrival". There are 3 proved cases as examples in this paper.

摘要:Professor Duan Ya-ting, a TCM Master, believes that the deficiency of heart and kidney yang is the root of heart failure, and blood stasis is its manifestation, sometimes mixed with water dampness and phlegm retention. The main treatment principle is to warm the heart and kidney, and promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis should run through the treatment course. Master Lao believes that the clinical syndrome should be given a comprehensive analysis of the four examinations, and combined with traditional Chinese and Western medicine. He has established Formula for Warming Kidney and Activating Blood Circulation to treat chronic heart failure, which should be added and subtracted based on the exact syndrome. For gastrointestinal blood stasis and poor appetite, scorch-fried Shanzha (Fructus Crataegi) , scorch-fried Shenqu (Massa Fermentata Medicinalis) , scorch-fried Jineijin (Endothelium Corneum Gigeriae Galli) to enliven the spleen and improve appetite. For those with long-term depression, Xiangfu (Rhizoma Cyperi) , Yujin (Radix Curcumae) , Chaihu (Radix Bupleuri) , etc. can be used to soothe the liver and relieve depression. For those with severe depression, Yinyanghuo (Herba Epimedii) , Shichangpu (Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii) , Bajitian (Radix Morindae Officinalis) , Wuyao (Radix Linderae) , etc.can be added. For those combined with insomnia, Suanzaoren (Semen Ziziphi Spinosae) , Baiziren (Semen Platycladi) , Fushen (Sclerotium Poriae Pararadicis) , Zhimu (Rhizoma Anemarrhenae) , Hehuanpi (Cortex Albiziae) , etc.can be added to nourish the heart and calm the mind. For headache, Qianghuo (Radix et Rhizoma Notopterygii) , Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae) , Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong) , etc.can be added. For mild constipa-tion, Roucongrong (Herba Cistanches) and Zhiqiao (Fructus Aurantii) can be added. For severe constipation, raw Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei) , Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas) and Zhishi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus) can be used. For abdominal distension, Muxiang (Radix Aucklandiae) , Sharen (Fructus Amomi) , Houpo (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis) , etc.can be added. For patients with heart failure with impotence, premature ejaculation and sexual apathy caused by long-term use of β receptor blockers, insufficient perfusion and psychological factors, Jiuxiangchong (As pongopus) , Yinyanghuo (Herba Epimedii) , Bajitian (Radix Morindae Officinalis) , Fupenzi (Fructus Rubi) , etc.can be properly used.

摘要:The formation of intrauterine adhesion is due to the injury of intimal basal layer. After being injured by golden blade, the healthy qi is weak, the blood runs slowly, the qi deficiency leads to blood stasis, and the qi and blood are both diseased, resulting in the stagnation of cell veins in the uterus and the obstruction of the movement of qi and blood. It is suitable to dredge meridians, promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis and regenerate new to nourish essence and blood. For the treatment of patients with postoperative intrauterine adhesions, Professor You Zhao-ling combines with clinical thinking of taking analogy image of TCM, makes good use of flowers, vines and blood-activating medicinals to dredge the blockage of meridians, has already established the "method of nourishing by dredging", and self made Formula for Regulating Intima and Preventing Intrauterine Adhesion. In clinical practice, Professor You often adds and subtracts on the basis of the above formula so that qi, blood, essence, and fluid can be normally distributed in the uterus to nourish the intima. At the same time, membrane-nourishing ointment, membrane-nourishing pot-medicated diet and pressing beans at ear points can be supplemented to nourish the intima, improve the pregnancy rate. She has created the "two-step method of miscarriage prevention" to reduce the abortion rate.

摘要:In the treatment of plagues by ancient Chinese physicians, Bombyx batryticatus was used quite frequently. Yang Lishan, a famous plague doctor in the Qing Dynasty, called Bombyx batryticatus as "the holy medicine for febrile disease", and applied it in Shengjiang Powder to treat many diseases. However, the modern Chinese medicine theory does not have an in-depth understanding of Bombyx batryticatus's effectiveness in curing plague. The author started from the relevant ancient literature, and summarized the drug application, prescription, and effective cases of the Bombyx batryticatus. We intended to explain that the Bombyx batryticatus had the effect of treating fever, relieving exterior syndrome, eliminating phlegm and turbidity, and purging incubated diseases in TCM, and clarified its effective value in the treatment of plague, and the corresponding basis for syndrome differentiation, so as to provide clinical scholars for syndrome differentiation and treatment.
摘要:Cold blockage and Yang stagnation refer to the pathological state of cold blockage outside and Yang Qi stagnation inside. Due to cold blockage and Yang Qi stagnation, resulting in abnormal movements of Qi and blood, disharmony of Qi and blood, and further lead to the syndrome of intermingled heat and clod, deficiency of both Qi and Yin. Hypertension is a common clinical disease, the syndrome of Cold blockage and Yang stagnation often lead to hypertension. It is often accompanied by cold congealing, Yang Qi stagnation and stagnated heat at the same time. To achieve the purpose of treating hypertension, it can be treated based on the pathogenic factors of cold evil and the pathogenesis characteristics of cold blockage and Yang stagnation, dispelling cold and dredging yang to restore the body's Qi movement of ascending and descending, cooperate with the method of clearing heat and nourishing Qi and Yin to reconcile blood vessels, it also provide ideas for the future treatment of hypertension.

摘要:Professor GAO Jing-hua is good at using traditional Chinese medicine, manipulation and other therapies to treat degenerative lumbar diseases. Degenerative lumbar disease belongs to the category of chronic skeletal disease of traditional Chinese medicine, which is more common in middle-aged and elderly patients, including lumbar disc herniation, degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis, degenerative scoliosis, etc. In the process of treatment of the disease, Professor GAO Jing-hua found that some patients have the characteristics of "deficiency of liver and kidney, deficiency of fire on inflammation". This paper expounds the main symptoms and concurrent symptoms of this kind of patients, and analyzes their pathogenesis, that is, the Yin and Yang of liver and kidney are deficient, but the Yin deficiency is more serious, causing ministerial fire can not be kept inside, but floating outside. Combined with pathogenesis, the treatment is to nourish the liver and kidney and guide fire to original. The prescription ideas include: adding warm Yang medicine to nourish Yin medicine, taking into account the fire failure of Mingmen, thick earth and astringent fire. Professor GAO advocated using "Yinhuo Decoction" , which was created in Bian Zheng Lu. This article intends to summarize Professor GAO Jing-hua's clinical experience in order to provide a new idea for the treatment of degenerative lumbar disease with traditional Chinese medicine.
摘要:Professor Cheng Zhaoren put forward the idea of treating somnolence from the differentiation of qi and blood, and believed that somnolence was mostly caused by the slackness of qi and blood with insufficient function. Qi loses the function of warming and blood deficiency loses the function of nourishment, thus spirit loses warm and nourishment; Stagnation of qi and blood results phlegm dampness and blood stasis, blinding orifices, and losing the use of thespirit. In this way, it will produce the disease of burnout and prone to lying. The slackness of qi is specifically divided into deficiency of Wei qi, weakness of spleen qi, stagnation of liver qi and deficiency of yang Qi. The slackness of blood is divided into blood deficiency and blood stasis. In treatment, we should harmonize Ying and Wei, replenish qi and blood, regulate qi and blood and warm yang to disperse cold, so as to restore the function of qi and blood, reconcile yin and yang, and advocate early prevention and treatment.

摘要:The pathogenesis of insomnia is closely related to the abnormal operation of human qi and the loss of yin and yang. Based on the theory of correspondence between heaven and man in Huangdi Neijing and Professor Gu Zhishan's diagnosis and treatment thinking method of "Si Tian-SiRen-Sidisease syndrome", Professor Zhang Jin combines the Kaiheshu theory of three yin and three yang with the six meridians in Treatise on Febrile Diseases and acupuncture therapy, and uses the diagnosis and treatment thinking method of "Si Tian-Si Ren-Si disease syndrome", that is, to distinguish the luck of heaven, the period of human body and the deficiency and reality of disease, and to treat insomnia from the perspective of time and space. Three yin and three yang are the image state of Kaiheshu qi movement of yin and yang, which is the six qi in nature and the sixmeridians in human. Based on the theory of correspondence between nature and man, insomnia is treated by combining the periodic changes of natural qi with the time nodes of pathological changes in human body.

摘要:Professor Dai Hongyu believes that the whole-body syndrome of patients with ecthyma are not in the same stage as the local manifestations of the wound, so overall syndrome and local syndrome differentiation should be combined. The internal therapy focuses on "tonifying deficiency" and "removing blood stasis". The external treatment focuses on pulling out poison and regulating inflammatory response. For ecthyma, the "deficiency" lies in the congenital deficiency of the "tendon" of Liver and Kidney, so the internal therapy should especially strengthen Liver, Kidney, and tendon strength. The change of ecthyma was related to microcirculation disorder and chronic inflammatory reaction, and was closely related to the state of the surrounding area of the wound. Therefore, external treatment should pay attention to the observation and intervention of ecthyma, and follow the idea of banding circumference.Exudation of ecthyma is not only the manifestation of chronic inflammatory reaction, but also the way to carry poison out of the body.In the treatment, attention should be paid to observation and management of exudation, and various therapies should be combined to promote wound healing.
