Treatment of Hyperthyroidism from the Five Zang-organs
Hyperthyroidism, caused by many factors, is characterized by the abnormality of various organs. It features diverse clinical manifestations, particularly liver damage and leukopenia. The occurrence and development of this disease is closely related to the disharmony of the five zang-organs. To be specific, the disordered qi in liver attacks the heart and lung in the upper, invades the spleen and stomach in the middle, and consumes the kidney yin, thus flowing all over the viscera, tissues and organs of the whole body. The general pathogenesis is yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity and disharmony of five zang-organs. Therefore, according to the principle of "regulating five zang-organs to achieve harmony", the treatment method is selected depending on the clinical manifestations and the dysfunction of specific organs, so as to tonify the insufficiency and damage the surplus. That is how we can alleviate the symptoms, improve indicators, shorten the course of treatment, reduce the recurrence, and improve the clinical efficacy.
