Chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)has prolonged course and complicated symptoms. The incidence of gastric cancer caused by CAG in China, especially in Gansu Province, ranks the second and the mortality ranks the first. Professor Wang Daokun has devoted himself to the treatment of CAG for a long time, and thinks that this disease belongs to the category of "stomach fullness" in Chinese medicine, and the pathogenesis always belongs to the deficiency of the original and the deficiency of the actual, and the mixture of the actual and the actual. Taking spleen and stomach weakness as the basis, qi stagnation and phlegm stasis as the standard, treatment emphasizes strengthening spleen and stomach, promoting qi circulation and removing blood stasis, and then self-made Huayu Xiaopi decoction is given. This article will summarize Professor Wang Daokun’s experience in treating CAG from the stagnation of stomach collaterals.
