Experience in Treating Vitiligo with Acupuncture and Cupping
Vitiligo is a type of clinically refractory skin disease. It is manifested as partial depigmentation of the skin. There are a variety of clinical treatments for the disease. This article concludes that the etiology and pathogenesis of vitiligo are related to the external pathogenic wind, qi stagnation and blood stasis, on the basis of the clinical experiences of various doctors. It also proposed using the unique acupuncture and cupping therapy of TCM in the clinical treatment of vitiligo. It can achieve remarkable curative effect in the treatment of vitiligo based on theory of meridian and theory of qi and blood. This study provides reference of the clinical treatment of vitiligo.
