Jiang Quan’s clinical thinking on the diagnosis and treatment of the complication ofbloodsystem damage
Connective tissue disease can be characterized by the involvement of various systems throughout the body. Among them, the complication of blood system damage is the most common, which is manifested as anemia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. Professor Jiang Quan maintains that anemia and leukopenia belong to the category of consumptive diseases, whose differentiation and treatment should be based on the deficiency syndrome of qi and blood, and whose main treatment is benefiting qi and replenishing blood. He believes that thrombocytopenia should be differentiated and treated by referring to the syndromes of blood diseases, whose key pathogenesis is fire, deficiency, and blood stasis, and whose treatment should be based on descending fire, tonifying deficiency and removing blood stasis, especially on removing blood stasis. Professor Jiang Quan treats the complication of blood system damage by tracing back to its root causes, identifying its pathogenesis, integrating Chinese medicine with western medicine, and has repeatedly achieved good results.
