Theoretical discussion and clinical application of gout treatment with Shengqing Jiangzhuo metthhoodd
At present, no effective radical drugs are available for gout and hyperuricemia. Some patients with gout suffer from insufficient vital qi and accumulated turbidity in the body, leading to the onset of the disease. Therefore, it is assumed that de fi ciency of spleen and kidney and accumulation of dampness and turbidity are one of the pathogenesis of gout. Gout is proposed to be treated by tonifying kidney and invigorating spleen, removing dampness and resolving turbidity, so as to ascend clear and descend turbidity, and restore the body's normal qi transformation function. Gout treatment should be focused on TCM concepts of holism and treatment based on syndrome di ff erentiation. The theoretical basis of the treatment of gout with Shengqing Jiangzhuo method (method of ascending clear and descending turbidity) is discussed, and its clinical applications are presented in the article.
