Analysis of Professor PIAO Bingkui's Commonly Used Drug Groups in Treating Tumors
This paper summarized professor PIAO Bingkui's commonly used drug groups in treating tumors, and discussed his thoughts in clinical practice and academic researches. It is believed that the core disease mechanism of tumor should be considered as two aspects, deficiency and excess, and healthy ,qi, deficiency is the basis of tumor pathogenesis. Therefore, reinforcing healthy ,qi, and fostering the root is considered as the core treatment principle in clinical practice, and correspondingly drug groups are formulated including Huangqi (,Radix Astragali,), Danggui (,Radix Angelicae Sinensis,), Nuzhenzi (,Fructus Ligustri Lucidi,), Gouqizi (,Fructus Lycii,) to reinforce healthy ,qi, and foster root, as well as Chenpi (,Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae,), Chaoshanzha (fried ,Fructus Crataegi,), Chaoshenqu (fried ,Massa Medicata Fermentata,), and Chaomaiya (dried ,Fructus Hordei Germinatus,) to protect stomach and activate spleen. Simultaneously, the drug groups target to tumors in different parts can be developed after fully considering the tumor specifics and the physiological characteristics of related ,zang-fu, organs (脏腑), such as the drug group of Shashen (,Radix Adenophorae seu Glehniae,), Jiegeng (,Radix Platycodonis,), Maidong (,Radix Ophiopogonis,) and Kuxinren (,Semen Armeniacae Amarum,) for lung cancer; the group of Jixingzi (,Semen Impatientis,), Baihua Sheshe Cao (,Herba Hedyotis Diffusae,), Tufuling (,Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae,) and Ezhu (,Rhizoma Curcumae,) for esophageal cancer; the group of Baizhu (,Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae,), Shanyao (,Rhizoma Dioscoreae,), Zhiqiao (,Fructus Aurantii,) and Yizhiren (,Fructus Alpiniae Oxyphyllae,) for stomach cancer and colorectal cancer; the drug group of Beichaihu (,Bupleurum chinense DC.,), Baishao (,Radix Paeoniae Alba,), Zhiqiao and Gancao (,Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae,) for ovarian cancer and breast cancer; the drug group of Weilingxian (,Radix et Rhizoma Clematidis,), Xuduan (,Radix Dipsaci,), Niuxi (,Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae,) and Gusuibu (,Rhizoma Drynariae,) for bone tumor; and the group of Tiandong (,Radix Asparagi,), Chaishao (,Radix Paeoniae Rubra,), Xuanshen (,Radix Scrophulariae,) and Beishashen (,Radix Glehniae,) for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
