Heart failure is the final stage of the development of heart diseases, which has a high mortality and hospitalization rate. Heart failure is a clinical syndrome of cardiac insufficiency, ventricular blood output can not meet the demand, organ ischemia and hypoxia, resulting in a series of symptoms. Professor YANG Jiwu is a famous cardiovascular disease expert in China, and the fourth and fifth batch of old traditional Chinese medicine experts in China. Professor YANG has profound attainments in the basic theory and clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine. He inherits the previous experience, learns from the ancients but does not stick to the ancients, dares to practice and innovate. Professor YANG established his own unique academic ideological system of TCM heart disease, which is "based on the heart, proficient in the treatment of the five Zang organs, especially focusing on Yin and Yang of spleen and kidney" . Professor YANG has pointed out that deficiency, blood stasis and water penetrate the whole process of heart failure, which is the basic pathogenesis of heart failure. The treatment principle of heart failure always focuses on supplementing Qi, warming Yang, activating blood and promoting water. According to the main etiology, pathogenesis, treatment principles and methods of heart failure, he developed Qiangxinning (强心宁) , which has been applied in clinic and achieved remarkable curative effect.
