    • According to reports, the Department of General Surgery at Shenmu Hospital affiliated with Northwest University successfully treated a 59 year old female patient with ulcerative colitis. The patient was treated with a combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, resulting in symptom relief and significant improvement in quality of life.
