Summary of case history　,A 67-year-old female came to the outpatient department of our hospital complaining for blurred vision in the right eye for 5 years. Upon examination, her best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 0.08 in the right eye and 0.6 in the left eye. Intraocular pressure (IOP) was 11.0 mmHg in the right eye and 13.5 mmHg in the left eye. Anterior segment examination of both eyes was unremarkable. Color fundus photography showed macular membrane with structural disorder in right eye . OCT showed macular membrane with macular edema in right eye.,TCM diagnosis,　blurred vision;phlegm and blood stasis,Western medicine diagnosis,　idiopathic macular membrane,Therapeutic medthods, PPV+PHACO+IOL+macular membrane peeling surgery in the right eye. Traditional Chinese medicine takes one dose per day. In the early stage, it is used to expel wind and heat, nourish blood and promote blood circulation. In the middle stage, it is used to strengthen the spleen and promote dampness, nourish blood and promote blood circulation to dissipate stasis. In the later stage, it is used to strengthen the spleen and promote dampness, nourish blood and tonify the kidney.,Clinical outcomes,　The deformation of the visual object in the right eye disappears, visual acuity improves, and the macular structure improves.
