Treatment of "Lantern Disease" from the Perspective of Promoting Qi, Removing Blood Stasis and Regulating Spirit by Tang Qisheng: A Case Report
Summary of case history, patient Liu, female, 38 years old, sought medical attention on April 21, 2019 due to "conscious fever accompanied by restlessness for more than 8 months, worsening for 2 weeks". After arguing with family members before August, the patient experienced a conscious fever accompanied by discomfort such as irritability and palpitations. Diagnosed as "anxiety" at a local hospital, there was slight improvement after treatment with lorazepam. Two weeks ago, the patient experienced worsening symptoms such as fever and irritability due to emotional distress, and therefore came to seek medical attention. Symptoms and Signs The patient consciously experiences fever, bad wind, palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating, and increased tension when encountering difficulties. Having a emaciated body, a dull complexion, forgetful, disoriented, good at taking too long a breath, swelling and pain in the ribs, accompanied by restlessness, restlessness, nervousness, irritability, and often inexplicable worries. Dry mouth with no desire to drink, poor appetite, difficulty falling asleep, easy to wake up at night, often having nightmares, frequent urination, and slightly dry stools. The tongue is dull red with little moss, and the veins are stringy and astringent.,TCM diagnosis, lantern disease (qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome).,Western medicine diagnosis, anxiety (generalized anxiety).,Therapeutic methods, traditional Chinese medicine treatment is based on regulating qi, promoting blood circulation, calming and calming the mind, and is treated with modified formulas for resolving blood stasis and anxiety.,Clinical outcomes, the patient's irritability, anxiety, and accompanying symptoms were significantly improved, and there was no recurrence after 3 months of follow-up.
