A Case Report of SCC Increased After Treatment of Cervical Squamous Cell Cancer
Summary of case history, A 56 year old female was diagnosed with cervical squamous cell carcinoma, FIGO stage IIIC1p. Regular follow-up was conducted after the completion of standardized treatment. One year later, the tumor marker SCC was rechecked to be higher than the normal level. In the subsequent follow-up, SCC continued to rise, and by the second year of follow-up, SCC had risen to twice the upper limit of normal. After 4 weeks of treatment with pulse acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, SCC decreased to the normal level. So far, the patient is still in the outpatient department for consolidation treatment with Chinese medicine, and no recurrence sign is found in the reexamination. This case reflects the efficacy of pulse acupuncture combine with Chinese medicine treatment in the field of cancer, which is worth studying and promoting.,TCM diagnosis, cervical cancer (stagnation of liver qi and spleen deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis),Western medicine diagnosis, cervical squamous cell carcinoma stage (FIGO stage IIIC1p),Therapeutic methods, pulse acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbal medicine,Clinical outcomes, disease-free survival,>,4 y.
