A Case of Dysmenorrhea in Adenomyosis Treated with Wu's Dysmenorrhea Ointment
Summary of case history, Patient Chen, female, 46 years old, presented to our hospital with the main complaint of "progressive dysmenorrhea for more than 2 years". Previous menstruation was irregular, 11 (10-15/20-25), with large amount, dark red color, many blood clots, and occasional dysmenorrhea. The last menstrual period at the first visit was December 20,th, 2019. In the past 2 years, dysmenorrhea has been progressively aggravated, sometimes accompanied by pale face, nausea and vomiting, which requires oral painkillers. Color Doppler ultrasound in the external hospital suggested "adenomyosis with adenomyoma". Conservative treatment with drugs has been given, and the symptoms of dysmenorrhea and increased menstrual volume have not been significantly relieved. At the time of this visit to our hospital, due to "abnormal uterine bleeding", he was admitted to the hospital for "hysteroscopic exploration + segmental curettage + ring removal". Postoperative pathology: (pathology number 202000316). "curettage of cervix" is a small amount of chronic inflammation of the cervical canal mucosa. 2. "Cervical curettage" The endometrium showed proliferative changes, local polypoid changes, and interstitial bleeding. Admission CA125: 53.6 U/ml, dysmenorrhea VAS score: 7 points.,TCM diagnosis, Dysmenorrhea (Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis Syndrome),Western medicine diagnosis, Adenomyosis; Adenomyoma; Dysmenorrhea,Therapeutic methods, Traditional Chinese medicine treatment to replenish Qi and spleen, promote blood circulation and nourish blood, choose Wu's dysmenorrhea ointment.,Clinical outcomes, After treatment, the degree of dysmenorrhea was improved, the VAS score of dysmenorrhea was decreased, the menstrual volume returned to normal, and CA 125 was decreased.
