Differentiation and Treatment of Laryngeal Tumor Based on the Theory of Phlegm and Blood Stasis: A Case Report
Summary of case history, The patient Jia, a 61-year-old male, visited the hospital on January 18, 2012 for "hoarseness for 3 months and aggravation for 10 days". The patient began to have hoarseness without obvious inducement 3 months ago, and did not pay attention to it. The hoarseness has not improved. The hoarseness of the patient became worse in the past 10 days, so he came to our hospital for treatment. Symptoms and signs: The patient is in poor spirits, hoarse voice, laborious speech, dry throat, sticky sputum, and sometimes foreign body feeling. The tongue coating is thin and greasy, the tongue tip is red, and the pulse is stringy and smooth.,TCM diagnosis, laryngeal tumor(phlegm and blood stasis and yin deficiency).,Western medicine diagnosis, laryngeal leukoplakia.,Therapeutic methods, Traditional Chinese medicine treatment is based on resolving phlegm and removing blood stasis, nourishing yin and promoting pharynx, and is treated with Xiaohouban Decoction.,Clinical outcomes, The patient's voice is basically normal, without dry throat and phlegm adhesion. After 3 months of follow-up, no recurrence was found.
