Treatment of Meridian Fever by Nourishing Blood and Regulating Liver: a Case Report
Summary of case history, The patient Yu, a 28-year-old female, who went to hospital on September 4, 2019 mainly due to "fever during intermittent menstruation for more than 10 years". The patient had no obvious inducement of menstrual fever 10 years ago and could be relieved by taking antipyretic. Since then, the patient had intermittent fever during menstruation. It was the second day of menstruation, and the temperature was 37.8℃. The menstruation was not smooth, so he came to our hospital for treatment. ,Symptoms and signs, The patient is in poor spirit, dizzy and weak, hot and upset, irritable, with full flanks, light red menstrual color, a small amount of blood clots, with pain in the lower abdomen, pain in the waist, pain in the stomach, poor sleep, and constipation. The tongue is light, the fur is thin and white, and the pulse is thin.,TCM diagnosis and syndrome, menstrual fever (Syndrome of blood deficiency and liver depression).,Western medicine diagnosis, premenstrual syndrome.,Therapeutic methods, traditional Chinese medicine treats the disease by nourishing blood and regulating liver and takes modified Siwu decoction orally for treatment.,Clinical outcomes, cured and did not recur after 3 years of follow-up.
