A Case Report of Autism Spectrum Disorder Treated by Chinese Medicine Combined with TuiNa增强出版
The patient, male, 5 years old, was hospitalized for social and language disorders for 2 years, aggravating for half a year. Two years ago, the parents found that the child's speech was backward and he did not like to socialize. He was diagnosed as childhood autism spectrum disorder in many hospitals. After rehabilitation training and biological supplement treatment, the progress was not obvious. The following symptoms are that the child's language lack of logic, restlessness, irritability, occasional impulsive and beating behavior, like clapping and shouting, fatigue and sweating, poor appetite, poor sleep, occasional enuresis, thin body, soft and weak limbs, pale yellow face, the tongue is pale and dark, the coating is white and greasy, and the pulse is wiry, sunken and thin. TCM diagnosis isdementia belonging to deficiency of spleen and kidney; Western medicine diagnosisis autism spectrum disorder in children. Treatment is administrated as transporting the spleen to remove phlegm, invigorating the kidney and benefiting the intellect. Traditional Chinese medicine combined with massage was administratedfor intervention. The first diagnosis was to use the prescription of spleen and kidney tonifying combined with massage manipulation such as rubbing Danzhong, rubbing the abdomen, rubbing the Sishencong and kneading the spine. The children's mood was excited and their sleep improved. In the second diagnosis, Gouqi and Wuweizi were added to replenish the kidney and strengthen the essence. The language communication was improved, and the impulsive behavior basically disappeared. The third diagnosis is to remove the Mudanpi, add Xiakucao and Nanshashen to soothe the liver and Qi, nourish the Yin and clear the heat, and the massage prescription is to rub Fengchi and rub the Baliao.The follow-up children still insisted on taking traditional Chinese medicine combined with massage for treatment. In the later follow-up, the children's social willingness was enhanced, and they could communicate with children of the same age, with high expression desire and stable condition.
