Summary of case history,　Ms. Lin, 71 years old, with generalized multi-joint swelling for more than 4 months, aggravated with skin sclerosis for 1 month. In July 2020, she presented with swelling and tingling in the wrist joints of both hands and ankle joints of both feet, restricted movement of the metacarpophalangeal joints and swelling of the back of the hands. In October 2020, she presented with tight skin of both upper limbs and face that was not easily pinched up, with black pigmentation, and generalized multi-joint pain with restricted movement gradually aggravated.He visited a Western Hospital, considering systemic sclerosis.After treatment with immunosuppressants and hormones by western medical, the joint pain was relieved, but the skin involvement did not improve significantly. For further treatment, on November 05, 2020, the patient consulted the clinic of Dr. Zhao Zhongwen, director of the Second People's Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
