Summary of case history ,Patient Chen X, female, 65 years old, sought treatment because of "left knee pain for more than 1 year, aggravated for one week". The patient had no obvious history of trauma. Factors such as going up and down stairs and cold weather would induce pain. Pain could be relieved by taking painkillers but it would be repeated after withdrawal. The main symptoms are pain and limited activity.,TCM diagnosis ,Xi Bi, (kidney deficiency and blood stasis).,Western medicine diagnosis ,Primary unilateral knee osteoarthritis (left knee).,Therapeutic methods ,The prescription was mainly composed of three parts. The first was to use Liu's massage technique to take the pain points of the left knee, acupoints, foot Taiyin kidney meridian and other meridians as the treatment target to promote local blood circulation and relax muscles. The second was oral Chinese medicine compounds. Traditional Chinese medicine prescription is based on the concept of ,Yushen Hezhi,. Traditional Chinese medicine compounds are mainly composed of herbs that replenish kidney Qi and activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, such as Eucommia ulmoides, Dipsacus, Achyranthes bidentata, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Angelica sinensis and Panax notoginseng. The third was to guide patients to carry out functional exercise to enhance muscle strength near the affected knee.,Clinical outcomes ,The patient's condition was stable, and there was no obvious pain in the left knee.
