Summary of case history,: A boy aged 8 years and 8 months surnamed Li, went to the pediatric clinic of our hospital on December 4, 2021 due to Communication difficulty and difficulty in concentrating for over 10 months. The child was found to be difficult to communicate with people verbally 10 months ago, he often use a single word or simple sentence to communicate with people, and with no eye contact, lack of response when being called, and he expressed his needs and dissatisfaction by shouting. He was hyperactive and have difficulty in concentrating, he did not like to sit, and couldn't help to stop his hands from playing with toys, he took the C-WISC test in a hospital of Shenzhen, revealed a score of 85, middle and lower levels. Children's Autism Behavior Checklist (ABC) suggested a score of 70. He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. After 3 months of oral methylphenidate treatment, he developed language delay. So he discontinued the drug and visited our hospital.
