One Case of Fever of Unknow Origin in Children Treated by Traditional Chinese Medicine
Summary of medical history, The patient, Chen, male, 14 years old, went to Professor hutiancheng's outpatient clinic on March 15, 2021 due to "repeated fever of unknown causes for one year". Since April, 2020, the child has had fever repeatedly for unknown reasons, with a maximum temperature of 41℃. He has been hospitalized in West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University, West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Suining Central Hospital for many times. After consultation with experts from West China Hospital and Beijing Union Medical College hospital, the diagnosis is still not clear, and Western medicine treatment is ineffective. Diagnostic information: sweating, wet clothes and sticky hands during fever, head and body pain, lower limb chills, palpitations, irritability, normal stool, yellow urine, light red tongue, yellow and greasy fur, and slippery pulse.,TCM diagnosis, Damp Fever, Dampness Gathering and Heat Steaming, Accumulate in Meridians and Collaterals.,Western medicine diagnosis ,Fever of Unknown Origin.,Therapeutic methods, The combination of Wei Qi Yin Xue syndrome differentiation and three jiao differentiation with six syndromes differentiation was performed using the methods of clearing heat and promoting dampness, reconciling Ying Wei, resolving Shaoyang and Tongluo pain relief, and then the formula including Huangqin Huashi Decoction, Guizhi Decoction, Xiaochaihu Decoction and Zhongjiao Xuanbi Decoction was sequentially administered with the addition and reduction of symptoms.,Clinical outcomes, After 10 months of traditional Chinese medicine treatment, there was no fever, all symptoms were eliminated, and there was no recurrence after 4 months of follow-up.
