A Case of Pediatric Alopecia Areata Treated with Yunpi Shengfa Decoction增强出版
Summary of case history ,The patient Xiao Moumou,a 9-year-old male with patchy hair loss for more than 2 months, was diagnosed as alopecia areata in the external hospital and was treated with oral drugs (details unknown) and topical glucocorticoids, but it doesn't work well. In order to seek complete treatment, he consulted Professor Xue Zheng on November 27, 2021. The child had a history of allergic rhinitis with nasal congestion and runny nose, poor appetite, excessive sweating and night sweating, and a regulated bowel movement, with a light red tongue, white and thick coating, and a thin pulse.,TCM diagnosis ,oil wind, spleen loss of healthy movement,blood deficiency with wind syndrome.,Western medicine diagnosis ,diffuse alopecia areata.,Therapeutic methods ,transporting the spleen and harmonizing the stomach, regulating qi and drying dampness, expelling wind and nourishing blood, and smearing the affected area with the self-made"Yunpi Shengfa Decoction"combined with ginger.,Clinical outcomes ,new hair grew and returned to normal after 3 months of treatment.
