Summary of case history, A 46 - year-old woman with multiple joint pain for one year and aggravated for two months was admitted to Dongfang Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine on December 22, 2021. Engraved symptoms: bilateral knee swelling, pain, adverse flexion and extension, difficulty in up and down stairs and squatting, severe symptoms of the right knee, swelling and pain of the right wrist, especially weakness, discomfort of limbs and joints around in the morning, reduced symptoms after activity, aggravated pain at night, and conscious soreness and pain of waist after intense activity. The above symptoms have no obvious seasonal and climatic factors. Nake, occasional stomach discomfort, sleepiness, and defecation. Physical examination: swelling and deformation of bilateral knee joint, positive tenderness around the joint, local skin temperature is high,obvious signs of the right knee joint; right wrist joint swelling, peripheral tenderness positive; arterial pulsation of upper limbs and lower limbs is normal, skin temperature is normal; tongue slightly fat, tooth marks, dark tongue, moss white thick, pulse string. ,Western medicine diagnosis: ,rheumatoid arthritis,TCM diagnosis: ,BI ZHENG liver and kidney deficiency, tan yu bi zu,TCM treatment: ,tonifying liver and kidney, Juanbi Tongluo, phlegm stasis.,Therapeutic methods: ,oral administration of Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture treatment.,Clinical outcomes: ,Two months later, the patient ' s symptoms improved significantly and the quality of life improved significantly.
